Online Classes

Accounting 1A, 1B, and 1C

Description

These online courses cover the same material as the traditional accounting courses taught on campus. The online courses have been designed for students that are self-motivated and have good study skills and have difficulty attending classes on campus. In addition to online assignments and quizzes the online accounting students are required to take a comprehensive on-campus final exam.

We will use a course management system called WileyPLUS for all lectures and assignments. This system is rich in audio and visual presentations and online graded assignments and assessment quizzes. For communications we will use a De Anza supported system called Catalyst that will allow students to participate in forums where questions/comments may be posted. Registration Procedures

1. If you are registering before classes begin (recommended), you can apply and register using the Internet by selecting the DeAnza College at: http://www.deanza.fhda.edu/  Select "Apply & Register" on the menu bar at the top of the page.
2. If you are registering after classes begin, and the class is still open, you can email me at abc@wanlass.com to receive a registration add code that will allow you to add using the Internet

Online Orientation

There will not be an on-campus orientation at the beginning of the quarter. You will complete an online orientation through the Distance Learning office and then login to the web site for more information. To begin the online orientation select: Distance Learning Center Online Orientation
