What do I need to get a Smog License?
In order to qualify to take the CA State Smog Exam, you need -
1. ASE Certification in A6, A8 and L1.
2. Pass the Clean Air Car Course and the Advanced Clean Air Car Course.
3. Pass the latest Smog Update Class
If you currently possess Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications in A6, A8 and L1 - here's what you need to get your Smog License - - Enroll and pass The Clean Air Car Course (Auto 65P)
- Enroll and pass The Advanced Clean Air Car Course (Auto 65W)
- Enroll and pass the latest Smog Check Update Class (currently the 2011 Smog Update)
- We offer the above 3 classes in one 12 week, 2-night a week section (Auto 65P and Auto 65W). The latest Smog Update Class is integrated into 65P. When these 3 courses are completed, you are ready to take the CA State Smog Exam.

If you have little or no automotive experience, and do not posses ASE A6, A8 and L1, the following classes are recommended to get your smog license -
If you do have basic automotive experience and you want to get a smog license, it is recommended that you enroll in Auto 60D through J.
