Pics from Sacramento Raceway Park May, 2009:
It had been over 15 years since the Dart had been on the track, but because of a huge effort by many Auto Tech students like Chris Yee, Jeff Carlson, Jason De Peralta, Duc Nguyen, faculty members Dave Capitolo, Rick Maynard, Michael Brandt and many others, the Dart again returned to the track.
A special thanks to Auto Tech student Aaron Hill for these stellar pics.

Finally made it to the track. Our GMC Dually had no problem towing this thing to Sacto. In the background is Auto Tech Club President Chris Ball taking inventory.

Chris Yee getting ready for the maiden voyage. Chris is one of the leaders in ensuring that the Dart would return to the track as he has put many hours into this vehicle over the past 2 years.

The Dart had to pass a safety inspection before being allowed to run on the track. That is Auto Tech Club Vice President Jason De Peralta going over the safety inspection with a Sac Raceway employee.

Ready Gang? Oh, he is ready...

Let's burn some rubber. For you Honda and Toyota fans, pretend like you know what I'm talking about.

15 years in the making...

After a few runs, the Auto Tech students had a pow wow.

A few students raced their own vehicles.

A contingency of students hangin' at the start line

It would not be an Auto Tech Club event without Chris' Famous BBQ

A couple of buddies just kickin' it. BTW, those jankie sunglasses on the left have since been replaced thanks to Auto 99, class of 2008-09

A long day, but well worth it...
