I can't find the company I'm supposed to open!
There are usually two reasons for this problem. Either you don't have any company data yet or you are looking in the wrong drive or folder for your data. Make sure you pay attention to the procedures below if you can't find your data.
Create Data Disk
This is the first step to complete before you can begin work in the lab and you only do this step once. Go to the "Start" menu and select "Create Data Disk". Select Quickbooks and make sure the data will be copied to the "H" drive (not floppy)and procede with the directions. Click here for instructions on Obtaining your Quickbooks data. H Drive
When you are attempting to open an existing company, the software will often default to look in the "f" drive for your data. You must browse to select your "h" drive to find your data. After you have selected your "h" drive, you must also open the QBData folder to see the files you will be using. Click here for instructions on opening Quickbooks companies. No Sample Company
There is no sample company. Just read chapter 2 and begin work on chapter 2 with "Creative".
"Access Denied" Messages
This is a network issue. Just ignore these messages and click "OK" until the messages go away and continue working.
Registration Number
Sometimes you will be asked to register the software. If this occurs, click the "phone" button on the registration window and when the next window appears, type 0181 4888 2924in the registration number box then click OK.
