The course is just starting. The formal workshop with facilitated weekly participation "deadlines" in October.

Until then, as people register for the course and log in, I encourage you get started reading the notes and working through the activities.

GETTING STARTED

Once you have logged in, navigate to the "course" CAOS 198 Technology Supported Learning & Retention (TSLR) workshop.

A welcome message has been posted inside the course. Please visit the forums and introduce yourself to the class.

The course is divided into topics. Be sure to read the Notes and Assignments for each topic. The assignments, quizzes, discussions and other activities are listed.

So, now you are ready to get started. Please read Getting Started - INTRODUCTION - link in Topic 0 (that is Catalyst / Moodle for the first block of text on the main course page

Other links in topic 0. Please review these handy references as they will be used during the workshop.

Then proceed to Notes and Assignments for topic 1. Encourage student-faculty contact.

This is the first of the Seven Principles. We will also look at using Catalyst / Moodle features Resources, assignments, quizzes

All the rest of the modules follow this pattern. You are welcome to work through these at your own pace. I'll check in regularly to answer questions and participate in the discussions.

Beginning in October, we will have "due dates" for those who need specific deadline to get motivated. The discussions are livelier if everyone contributes in a short period of time.

The workshop will run until the end of the Quarter.

On-campus meetings - optional, but I would like to meet with each participant in person before the end of the quarter to discuss individual projects and technology needs.
