Enabling HTML Tags

Although you can use virtually any html tags on your Manila site, some of them are initially disabled when you set up your site. If you try to use them in a page you will see the tags on the web page; not the results of the tags that you expected.

Fortunately, Manila lets you enable and disable tags on your site by using the Legal Tags Prefs page. Here are the instructions:

  1. Go to your site and login as usual.
  2. Click on the Prefs link in the Editors Only menu at the top fo the page to go to the Welcome page.
  3. Click on the Legal Tags link in the left sidebar to go to the Legal Tags page
  4. The Legal Tags page lists all of the tags that are available for use on your Manila site. Tags without checkmarks are disabled. Enable any tags you want to use by clicking their checkboxes and then scrolling down to click the Submit button.

This features is primarily useful to site-builders who are used to hand-coding HTML tags.
