The Manila web site environment does not include its own spell-checking feature. However, you can use your word processing program or other text editor to check spelling. There are a variety of approaches to doing this, but here are two that are useful.
Method #1:
- Enter new text on the Edit Story page or edit existing text.
- Select and copy all of the text to your clipboard using the copy feature in your web browser.
- Switch to your word processing program and open a new document.
- Paste the text into the word processor document and spell-check it.
- Select and copy all of the corrected text in the word processor.
- Switch back to the Edit Story page in your browser.
- Select all of the Text and use paste to replace it with the text that you spell-checked in the other program.
Method #2:
- Launch your word processor (or text editor) application.
- Write the text for your web page in the word processor. (Remember that the formatting from your word processor will not carry over to your Manila site.)
- Spell-check the text.
- Select and copy the text from the web processor.
- Switch to your web browser program. Go to your home page, login, and click the Edit This Page button.
- Replace the content of the Text area on the browser page with the text you copied from your word processor.
