Student GuidelinesPoetry: submit up to five poems
Fiction: submit one short story (up to 4,000 words) or up to three short-shorts
Plays: submit one dramatic piece up to 4,000 words
Creative Nonfiction: submit one piece up to 4,000 words
Photographs and Drawings: submit up to five prints or slides; do not send originals; we normally require b&w photos and art, but color work may be considered for the cover
Comics: submit one strip
We prefer email submissions. For hard copies, please send disposable copies of manuscripts and art work. Enclose an SASE for reply only. Please include an email address if possible. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME ON THE MANUSCRIPT ITSELF. ALL WORK (INCLUDING WORK SUBMITTED BY STAFF MEMBERS) IS JUDGED ANONYMOUSLY.
Deadlines
We accept student submissions from April 1 to May 15, make final decisions by June, put together the magazine at the end of the spring quarter and sometimes into the summer, and publish it in the fall.
Sample Copies
$5 for the current issue; $2.50 back issues
