AP Stats at FUHSDThe Advanced Placement (AP) Statistics examination for the academic year 2009-2010 will be administered during the first week in May. Some 140,000 students are expected to take this exam. The AP Stats conference and reading will be in early June in Daytona Beach, Florida.
I am no longer involved with the AP Stats program in the Fremont Union High School District. During the two years that I taught an AP Stats class for Fremont Union I had a total of 33 students. Twenty five of those students received a score of "5" on the AP Stats examination. The other 8 students received a score of "4". In order to put those numbers in perspective, consider that, on any given year, only about 32% of the students who write the AP Stats examination receive a score of "4" or "5".
