AMATYC Competition

The AMATYC Competition consists of a series of two examinations given during the academic year. It is a mathematics (pre-calculus level) competition for participating community colleges nationwide. There are several awards for both schools (citation, prestige) and individuals (cash and/or scholarships.) Year-after-year, De Anza College has placed quite high on this competition and De Anza students have benefited by winning scholarships or other awards. For more information see Professor Logvinenko, Professor Vanniasegaram, or myself (or talk to your mathematics teacher.)
