Math 49A
Course Description and Information
This class presents the algebra needed in preparation for Calculus. The course focuses a lot on relations, functions, and Analytic Geometry. Applications of the above are also studied.

Using the table feature on the TI - This shows how to use the table feature on the TI graphing calculators.
TI-86 functions - This lists the steps needed to find Roots, Maximums/Minimums, and Intersection Points of curves, using the TI-86
TI-83 and TI-84 functions - This lists the steps needed to find Roots, Maximums/Minimums, and Intersection Points of curves, using the TI-83 and TI-84 (the TI-82 has similar steps)
Assignments
Assignments should be turned in at the beginning of class on the day they are due.
Late Assignments will not be accepted, under any circumstances.
They should be turned in on a separate piece of paper (or they will not be graded).
You may work in groups of up to three people. Three names can appear on one paper.
Points will be taken off, if more than three names are on one assignment.
Assignment 1 - Due on October 11.
Assignment 2 - Due on November 8.
Assignment 3 - Due on December 6.
Grades
Grades - These are the final grades for the course. To check your grade, you will need a 3-digit code that was given to on on the first exam (it was written in green).
