Math 51
Course Description
This class presents the theory of trigonometric functions and their applications. The class introduces students to the variety of ways of interpreting trigonometric functions, using triangles, circles and graphs, as well as the many applications where trigonometry proves useful.

Projects
Project 1 - Due by July 23. The Lombard Street Project in pdf or word version.
Project 2 - Due by August 6.
Assignments
Assignments will be posted a few days before they are due.
- Late Assignments will not be accepted, under any circumstances.
They should be turned in on a separate piece of paper (or they will not be graded).
You may work in groups of up to three people. Three names can appear on one paper.
Points will be taken off, if more than three names are on one assignment.
Class time will not be used to discuss assignments. If you have questions on the assignment, ask before or after class.
Assignment 1 - Due by July 9.
Assignment 2 - Due by July 22.
Assignment 3 - Due by August 4.
Extra Credit Problem - Due by July 30.
