About Me:
I have been teaching at De Anza College for nearly 20 years. Since I now live over 100 miles from here, I commute to the Bay Area by car, train, and cyberspace.
When I’m not teaching and commuting, I write fiction and poetry. Currently, I’m working on a mystery novel about characters who reflect my interest in international experience.
Before I came to teaching, I was raising a family and working at various jobs in a variety of places. I have lived in England, Libya, India, Saudi Arabia, and Greece and have traveled in many other countries outside the U.S. Living in different places has given me a fascination with the dynamics of cultural interaction. One of my goals in teaching is to encourage a broader world perspective as we consider values and experiences that shape our lives.
