Fry Bread

fry bread:

For each 2 pieces of bread mix together
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
liquid to mix (warm water or milk or even buttermilk) Personally I use warm water

Mix into a flexible dough. Put into a plastic bag and let it rest for at least 1/2 hour. Longer is better overnight is even better.

Fill skillet with Grease. Take a small ball of dough (1/4" in diameter) and place in hot grease/oil. If the ball of dough doesn't immediately rise to top of the Grease then it isn't hot enough. Wait and test with another ball of dough. Fry on one side until brown and then flip and fry the other side.

Enjoy.
