Welcome to my Homepage. I am a member of the Language Arts Faculty here at DeAnza College. I teach English 2 and English 1B in all formats -- online, hybrid and in the classroom; I use catalyst in my online and hybrid course and believe we should all enjoy a fun and challenging experience in the distance learning environment.
Classes:
EWRT 2 Critical Thinking
This course explores critical thinking as it relates to reading and writing. While we learn some sentence-level skills, the class focuses on content in writing and the connection between critical thinking in the classroom to the outside world. The course includes on extensive research paper.
EWRT 1B Literature in Writing
This course explores literature as it relates to reading and writing. While we learn some sentence-level skills, the class focuses on literature and the themes involved in contemporary works. We will then explore those themes in expository essays that encompass analysis and argument.
