I am a faculty member at De Anza College in the Intercultural Studies Division and the Social Science Division in Anthropology. I teach ICS 5/Arts 2F for the Intercultural Studies Division and Cultural Anthropology and Archaeology for the Social Sciences Division. Why people do what they do is completely fascinating to me and when that behavior is put into images, well, that's even more fun!!
Anthropology 2 meets all the requirements of introductory anthropology courses at UC's, CSU's and Community Colleges.
World Prehistory covers the development of human civilizations around the world with special emphasis on American Archaeology, local California archaeology and in the American Southwest.
ICS 5/Arts 2F meets all general education requirements for either humanities, general education, or ICS division requirements for graduation with an AA at De Anza.
I have a Ph.D. in Ethnology from the University of New Mexcio, Albuquerque, an MA from San Jose State in Art and Anthropology that focused on Southwestern archaeology, and an MA from Columbia University, NYC in art history. My BA was in History at Carleton College, Minnesota.
Hope to see you in class this summer!
