  • Activate your web site membership by clicking on the Join Now link in the sidebar of this page - see Members section in list of links at right. You must include your real first and last names and a current and active email address. Must be completed before the second class meeting.
  • The Student Information Survey is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday of week I. You must print this form no later than the second class meeting; contact the instructor immediately if you encounter problems.
Quizzes and Tests:
  • First quiz will be at first class meeting of week 2.
Notes:
  • Students who are already in the De Anza College Honors Program and who plan to take Music 1A for honors credit must arrange a meeting with the instructor no later than Wednesday during the first week of the term. Please also read the Honors Credit link in the sidebar. Note that you must complete honors registration during the first week to avoid paying additional fees.
  • Contact the instructor right away if you encounter any problems with online course materials and assignments.

By this time all research must be finished and the basic content of the project complete. If the student is on track, we will schedule the presentation at this point, typically for weeks 9 or 10 at the instructor's discretion.

    9:30 class: Final exam session at 9:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m. TUESDAY, MARCH 27.
    10:30 class: Final exam session at 9:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28.
Notes:
  • Monday is the final regular class meeting of the term and we will meet for regular class activities, typically including new topics and the retake of the previous quiz.
  • Final exams are scheduled on Tuesday through Friday of week 12. You are required to attend the the scheduled final exam session scheduled for your class. Exam sessions are often on different times and days than normal class meetings during the rest of the term.
  • Grades will be posted online during the week after final exams at the latest and will remain available here for about one week after the end of the term. Check the web site for updates.
