Spring 2012 Day Two Issues
Many of you have taken care of the requirement to sign up for membership at the class web site. (See the Join Now link in the Membership section of the sidebar for a link to the sign up page.) Thank you for getting started "on the right foot" by taking care of this right away.

For those who have not done this yet, please note that you must complete this requirement right way - it is not optional. If you encountered problems signing up, be sure to talk to me no later than the next class meeting.

I noticed a couple of problems that came up among those who already tried to join:

A few students used only their first name or last name. You must use your real first and last names. (Nicknames are OK for first names as long as you have told me that you prefer to use the nickname in class.) If you only used your first name when you signed up, your request was not processed and you'll need to repeat the process.
I received a few "bounced" emails from students who may have either used an invalid email address or mistyped their address when signing up. If you signed up and did not get an email from the web site containing a verification link, you were probably one of the students in this category. Please sign up again using a valid email address.
