Winter 2010 Update - New Years Eve Day
Happy New Year... and welcome to my winter 2010 Music 1A: Introduction to Electronic Music classes. A few bits of information as the first day of classes draws near:

Both of my sections of Music 1A are now full. With the exception of the 8:30-9:20 a.m. MTWTh Music 1A section taught by Hicks, all other classes in the Music 1A-D group are full. If you need a Music 1 course this quarter, I strongly recommend that you attend that 8:30 section on the first day of classes and add.
If there are fewer than 50 students (the official seat count for Music 1A) in attendance at the first class meetings I may add some additional students from among those who are in attendance and hoping to add. I will only add students beyond the official 50 student seat count if no other sections of Music 1A-D remain open. (In other words, sign up for that 8:30 section!)
Bring regular "student materials" to the first class meeting. These include either a multi-subject binder, a single binder for the Music 1A class, or some other appropriate method of taking class notes.
Pick up the text and the bundled recordings right away. They are not optional and you will be unable to complete important course assignments without them.
You can get a bit of a head start by reading the online green sheet, course calendar, and other materials available at links in the sidebar along the right side of this page. Please note that not all of this material will be updated prior to the first class meeting.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about the class - the sooner the better.

9:30-10:20 on MTWTh in room A11. Current enrollment is 50/50 (FULL - attend first class to try to add)*
10:30-11:20 on MTWTh in room A11. Current enrollment is 50/50 (FULL - attend first class to try to add).

* Try to get on the class waiting list and attend the first class meeting if you would like to try to add full section. Note that spaces occasionally open in "full" classes during the registration period. If you are not on the waiting list you may still come to the first class meeting and try to add. When one section of a class fills, other sections of the same class often begin to fill more quickly. There may still be space available in the 8:30 a.m. MTWTh section of Music 1A.
