Falling Behind? NOW is the Time to Catch Up!
I want everyone to succeed in Music 1A. A first requirement for success is making sure that you do not fall behind!

As I recorded grades this weekend and as I prepared my "third week census" forms, I noticed that some Music 1A students have missed large portions of the course work so far and/or have amassed a large number of absences. The following is a list showing some students (identified only by student number) about whom I have very significant concerns - they have exceeded my absence policy and are subject to being dropped and/or have missed all or most of several categories of graded work.

If your name is on this list and you are interested in remaining in the class you MUST DO THE FOLLOWING IMMEDIATELY:
  • Speak with me to discuss your situation. If there are unusual circumstances that are creating these issues you need to speak to me about them. If you think my records are incorrect you must set me straight. If you intend to "get back on track" it is critical that you speak to me before I drop you.
  • Resolve the issues that are preventing your from succeeding in the class - and do so now before you create a situation from which you cannot recover.
  • Begin work immediately, if you have not already done so, on preparations for this weeks first test and the concert review assignment that is due soon after.
