Music 1A Students:

I wrote earlier about the problem that has made the class web site inaccessible for most of the weekend. I want to update you on this situation and on some changes in our schedule that will result from this problem

1. Since you were unable to access the calendar, the forums, and so forth I feel it is necessary to delay test #1 (originally scheduled for Monday) by one day until TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21. While many of you probably were not affected greatly by the server issues in terms of your preparation for the test, some of you were - and so the fair thing to do is delay the test a bit.

2. The posting deadline for the discussion topic that was due on Monday has now been delayed until TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21. Your response to this assignment must be posted before the start of your class that day.

3. At this point I do NOT plan to delay the weekly quiz that is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22.

4. At this point I do NOT plan to delay the homework assignment that is also due on Wednesday, October 22.

I am disappointed that the College/District tech support system did not detect the server problem before I reported it, and that even after reporting it to them no one has fixed it or communicated with faculty about the problem or when it will be repaired. All I can say is that they have been told of the problem and they should act to fix it soon.
