End of term notes - with more to come
Congratulations to those of you who have completed the final Music 1A test and turned in all remaining work and extra credit. I have scored and graded the tests and I hope to post the results along with your final course grades during the next next 24 hours.

There is one loose end to tie up still. A few students who appeared to be on track to complete the course work did not show up to take the test this week. I have emailed these students. If you are among them you must contact me immediately to explain what happened. I must turn grades in very soon and I cannot assign you a passing grade without that test.

Paper Review Over the Weekend by Email?
I was away this weekend - left on Saturday morning at 3:30 a.m. and just returned at about 11:00 p.m. Sunday. I have replied to a few emails that included questions about the concert report - but I'm afraid I was not able to read through the reports drafts that several students sent over the weekend.

A Critical Time to Speak Up About the California Budget
I cannot and will not tell you what point of view to hold or express regarding the current budget crisis in California. However, given the tremendously high stakes for all Californians and especially for students in California Community Colleges, if there was ever a time when it was important that you communicate your concerns and your position to the governor and legislative leaders that time is NOW.

I urge you in the strongest terms to take a few minutes to craft a concise message briefly describing your position on the California budget and briefly mentioning who you are and why you care about how this issue is handled - and to then sent it to as many of the following as you think appropriate.
