Studio Rules
Use of the Electronic Music Studio (classroom A91) is a privilege that is in effect only as long as the studio rules are followed and the equipment is treated with the respect and care. Your responsible use of the studio will help ensure that the studio continues to be available to De Anza College students in the future.
| Violations of studio rules may result in suspension of your studio privileges, which may lower your grade. In serious cases, a single violation may result in immediate suspension of your studio access, even if this makes it difficult or impossible for you to successfully complete the course. |
- No unauthorized visitors are allowed in the studio. Only currently-enrolled electronic music students are allowed in the studio. No one else may enter the studio under any circumstances without advance permission from the instructor. Without exception, violations of this rule will result in immediate suspension of studio privileges for one or more weeks. A second violation will result in removal from the class and an automatic failing grade with no option to drop the course.
- No eating or drinking in the studio.
- No smoking in the studio.
- Keep the studio neat - clean up when you finish your session.
- The studios are electronic music course work only. Use the Internet Lab in Learning Center West if you want to browse the web or check your email.
| Always report an unlocked lab to campus security (408-864-5555) and/or Dan Mitchell (408-864-8511 or mitchelldan@deanza.edu) immediately. |
These rules may be enforced by any De Anza College instructor, the De Anza College Security Department or any other authorized person. Any suspicious activities or problems in the studios (or other practice rooms) should be immediately reported to Campus Police (ext. 5555) and the Creative Arts Division Office (ext. 408-864-8832). Please notify the instructor (408-864-8511) of any ongoing problems in the Electronic Music Studio.
