Week 7 Summary - Spring 2007
Monday, May 21
Reviewed and collected quiz #2. Graded and handed them back. Announced date of test #1 - Wednesday, May 30 (next Wednesday). Introduced basic (VERY basic) sound editing using the ES1, with the next project in mind.
Tuesday, May 23
Primarily a work day on the sampe project, with some review of NN19 techniques.
Wednesday, May 23
Primarily a work day on next project.
Thursday, May 24
Wow - what a small turnout! I briefly described how to use the Logic waveform editor to prepare samples for use in Reason, and then we had a work period. A few people played project 6 but I'll hear the rest on Tuesday.
Friday, May 25
Test #1. Work time on project 4; listened to project 4. Introduced "tweaking" of plug-in synths. Announced next Friday deadline for project 5. (Somewhat poor attendance today.) A few people did not yet play #4. They were told to come in during open labs and complete their projects before the June 2 class, so that they can play them back at the beginning of the period next time.
