Week 4 Summary - Spring 2007

Finally hear Garage Band projects. Present first electronic music history/literature topic (EM history completed precursors, singing arc, telharmonium. Started theremin but only barely... ). Work time for assignment 2. Upcoming: Do the rest of the theremin on wednesday. Also, move on to track automation in Logic.

Looked including Reason signal processors / effects in the rack, both in line with synths and as effects send loops via the mixer.

Continued with EM history - finished Theremin. (Need to do tape recording music next time and assign quiz.) Work time on assignment #2 and heard about half of the assignments. Need to record these and listen to the rest on Monday.

More work with signal processors. Time to work on SP project. Reviewed how to interconnect devices automatically in Reason. Heard Subtractor assignments.

Finished hearing GB projects. Introduced track automation, aliases (and other methods of repeating: copy, loops). EM topics finished through Theremin. Assigned quiz 1 - due at 10:30 next Friday, with warning about late arrival. Did not to Logic assignments today so they are due at the beginning of the period next week.
