Open Lab Updates
Our "regular" open labs are somewhat limited this quarter. They are on Tuesday/Thursday at 11:30-12:20.

There are other times outside of your class hours when you may use the lab. You may come in during any of my three electronic music classes and use computers that are not being used by students in that class. These hours include:
  • MTWTh at 12:30-2:10
  • Friday at 10:30-1:50
During the first few weeks there will not likely be any unused computers during the MW class, so coming in on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday is a better bet.

Assignment Updates
Now that we are in the second week of the term there will be regular assignments to work on and to submit. A quick overview:
  • Music 51 classes should be finishing the "Garage Band" assignments - we don't want to spend a lot of time on those! They are due next Monday for the MW class and near the middle of the period this week for the Friday-only class.
  • Music 8 students are now working on assignment #2, the Redrum assignment, which is due late in the period next Tuesday. (Music 8 students who did not take my Music 51 also need to start working on assignment #1, which verifies a working knowledge of the Logic Pro application.)
I listen to your projects individually with you during class on the due dates. You'll remove your headphones so that you and I can hear/see the project playback. (While you do this other students in the class will continue to work on their projects using headphones.)

Note that topics/assignments often overlap. While I'm introducing the next new topic you may be working on completion of the previous assignment.
