Registering for Intermediate Electronic Music
Earlier this week I posted here and spoke in class about registration strategies that you should consider in a time of reduced college budgets. Along the same lines, if you are planning to take Music 8: Intermediate Electronic Music - and I hope you are! - you should enroll right away.

Ironically, there are two seemingly opposite reasons to do so:

During recent terms, the interest in and demand for seats in the electronic music classes has increased, and quite a few have filled before the start of the term. When they fill, the section closes and you cannot register - instead you have to come to the first meeting and hope that there is space. Register as soon as possible to ensure that you have a spot in the class.
On the other hand... it is possible that classes that have not reached the minimum threshold of 20 enrolled students by the middle of final exams week (a week and a half before the start of spring quarter!) could be canceled this year. Because there is sometimes a pattern of late enrollment in electronic music classes, it is possible that such late enrollment might endanger the class this time. Register as early as possible.
