What to do if you must miss a Music 51 class session?
Several people had to miss all or part of the Friday Intro to Electronic Music class this week - for seemingly valid reasons. A few important comments on this:

  • It is entirely possible that "stuff" might come up requiring you to miss a class. When that happens I always expect that you will touch base with me about this as soon as you know about the conflict.
  • If an assignment is due on the day you must miss, it is still due that day. Make arrangements with me to ensure that I'll get your work on time.
  • You'll want to make sure that you get information that was shared during the class you missed. This includes assignments, deadlines, lectures, demonstrations, etc. There are a couple of ways to handle this - read on...
  • You are invited and encouraged to attend a meeting of the other class that covers the material you missed. Students in the MW class can come to the Friday class and vice versa.
  • Ask another student for his/her notes.
  • Check this web site - not just the home page, but also the Summaries, Quizzes, and Assignments pages.
