Intro to Electronic Music Assignments

Links to descriptions of Music 51 lab assignments are found below. The due dates and other important details of these assignments will be provided in class and during tutoring sessions. The assignments are subject to change and there may be additional assignments that are not listed here.

In general, these assignments will be evaluated on a technical basis only. The object of the assignments is to demonstrate your understanding of and ability to use the techniques that you have learned in class and during tutoring sessions. Since this class does not teach keyboard technique or composition your grade will not be based on these aspects of your projects.

Assignment Guidelines

  1. Intro to Electronic Music Assignment 1
    Due Wednesday, April 16 at the end of class for MW class.
  2. Intro to Electronic Music Assignment 2
    Due Monday, April 28 AT START OF CLASS for the MW class.
  3. Intro to Electronic Music Assignment 3
    Due Monday, May 5 for the MW class - at END of class.
  4. Intro to Electronic Music Assignment 4
    Due Monday, May 12 for the MW class.
  5. Intro to Electronic Music Assignment 5
    Due Wednesday, May 21 for the MW class.
  6. Intro to Electronic Music Assignment 6
    Due Monday, June 2 for MW Class
  7. Intro to Electronic Music Final Project - Due at final exam session (but start 2-3 weeks earlier and check progress at tutoring sessions)

Remember that all assignments must be turned in by the announced due dates in order to receive full credit. Late assignments are subject to a grade penalty and failure to complete the final project may result in a failing grade in the course. Check the course greensheet for more details.
