PresentationsA. Accommodation Coaching
Students will coach each other on communication behaviors appropriate to the "Coach's" culture/ethnic group. The presentation will include a "Take One" in which the student "Trainee" does the best they can before coaching, and a "Take Two" in which the Trainee demonstrates new behaviors their Coach has taught them. The class (audience) will be challenged to describe the changes.
C. Conflict Analysis
The team will recreate a conflict which one of the team members experienced. The conflict will illustrate at least two different conflict resolution strategies. The team will then act out what each of them would have preferred in that same context (the strategy(s) they wished the other person had used). The class will help analyze and debrief the interactions.
E. Guided Enclave Visit
Each student will take their partner to an enclave or special event of the "Guide's" ethnic group. The "Visitor" will interact with people in the enclave and will share his / her observations and experiences with the class. One interaction from each visit will be re-enacted for the class.
