Extra Credit Reading

If you come across a newspaper or magazine article that you think has something to do with the theme or topics of the course, include the following in your write-up:

  • Describe your reading:   What's the title? What source does it come from (newspaper or magazine name)? What is the article about? Give the basics of who, what, when, and where in terms of what is being presented
  • Describe your reactions: What are your reactions to the article? What do you think or feel about the subject matter that is being presented? What do you think or feel about the manner in which the subject matter is being  presented?
  • Connect your observations to the course theme or topics: How does the article relate to the course theme or any course topics? How does the article make you think about the course theme or course topics? Or, how does the course theme or course topics make you interpret the article?
