The Early YearsThis course takes a general look at child development from conception through 5 years. It presents an over-view of Western theorists and their philosophies. Predominent in our studies are Piaget, Vygotsky, Erikson, Ainsworth, Skinner, and Bronfenbrenner, who address the physical, cognitive and social/emotional development of infants and preschool aged children. Class requirements include fieldwork in the form of observations, and papers. This is a 4 unit class. For specifics, refer to the current 10G green sheet.
