OnlineThe following online tools (software standards at DeAnza are cited) enable instructors to conduct discussions, encourage collaboration, and/or deliver instruction:
Email (Eudora) basic tool for communicating with students and colleagues
Listserv (Lyris) to send messages to a group.
Website (Manila) to easily develop a website and conduct online discussions.
Course management (WebCT) to enhance courses using a wide array of course management tools (including but not limited to exam generation, gradebook, chat and discussion boards).
Comparing tools provides access to a table comparing basic features of listservs, websites, and course management software supported by DeAnza; in addition, a link to alternative online tools is provided.
