Digging to America essay
the theme of our course is "whose country is this
anyway?" In "Digging to America" we have read of the
characters' ongoing struggle to establish and identify
with their own community. Now we want to ask, how does
one define country? Country can be interpreted as lan,
but it can also be see as someone's values, family,
home, culture, religion, security of finding a place
in this world. The feeling of identity with others.
Use specific examples from "Digging to America" and
define, explain, analyze what country means to one or
more of the charcters in the novel.
You must demonstrate that you have read the whole
novel. Use specific quotes and examples from the book.
Be sure you provide the correct page numbers for each
citation.
