Class Participation:
This is an intensive 10-unit course. You must come to class prepared every day. All the homework must be completed before the beginning of the class. If you are absent from the class, it is your responsibility to get the assignment from another student. Since you want to improve your English skills, you must speak English in the classroom. There will be no make up tests. No late papers will be accepted. Cheating and plagiarism are serious offenses and will be treated as such.

The Open Media Lab in the basement of the Learning Center West has Connect with English videotapes. To help you preview or review your videotape assignments, you may watch the tapes there any time before or after class.

Attendance Attending every class is important. More than three absences will lower your grade. If you are absent during the first two weeks of the quarter and do not let me know, you will be dropped from the class if there are other students who are waiting to add. You may be dropped if you miss more than two classes in a row. If you wish to drop, however, it is your responsibility to formally drop the class in the Administration Building.
