I am away from campus on sabbatical leave until mid-September, 2013.

Winter Quarter 2013 grades for all of my classes will be submitted by Monday, April 1st, and students will be able to view their grades on-line via the MyPortal system, as soon they are posted by Admissions and Records. Students wishing to discuss their grades with me will have to wait until my return to De Anza at the start of the Fall 2013 quarter, when I will have access to graded exams and other necessary records.

During my leave I will not have access to De Anza voice-mail, and will only be checking De Anza email on occasion.

To students seeking prerequisite clearance: please contact me by email, and provide me with all required documentation electronically (Equivalency Evaluation Form, transcripts, etc.). More information about prerequisite clearance for World Languages classes can be found here: http://www.deanza.edu/iis/prereqclear.html

If you have other questions or concerns about the French program at De Anza College, please contact the Intercultural/International Studies Division office at:

URGENT NOTE TO ALL WORLD LANGUAGE STUDENTS:
If you wish to sign up for level 2 or higher of any language, and did NOT complete the prerequisite course at De Anza or Foothill College, you must complete a prerequisite clearance application AND an equivalency evaluation form. Instructions and applications can be found here:
http://www.deanza.edu/admissions/placement/prerequisites/
and the equivalency evaluation form can be found here:
http://www.deanza.edu/iis/prereqclear.html
The World Languages evaluation process is a voluntary task, and faculty are RARELY able to evaluate applications immediately. Please plan to submit your application and transcripts at least THREE weeks PRIOR to your registration date for the quarter in which you wish to take the world language course. Otherwise, the prerequisite may not be cleared in time for you to register for the course.
