About me.I have a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz, a MS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona, and a PhD in Biology from the State University of New York at Albany. I have done research on bird ecology and behavior at the Southwest Research Station in Arizona, at the University of Georgia, and at the University of Delaware, where I also did some research on insect behavior.
Currently I am teaching Human Biology and Introductory Biology at De Anza College and Environmental Science at San Jose City College. I have also recently taught Ecology and Human Heredity at colleges in the Bay Area and at the University of Maryland University College.
At one time or another I have lived for at least a couple months in England, Germany, Spain, and Korea. Currently I live in the Santa Cruz mountains.
