Hi John,
It was great seeing you at the dinner provided by Joe Woolcock. It produced in me memories of all those strategy sessions by the old Finance Committee when we were the chief negotiators for faculty benefits and faculty wellbeing. I recall in particular your leadership in driving us ever forward to more formal relations with Cal Flint (who loved us all dearly and was immensely proud of us) and the Board. Right behind you as our spearhead was Dave Roderick and Bruce Swenson. And we should not forget Carl Fisher, who was always there to correct our figures. It as a wonderful pool of talent and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to serve among this group of the best and brightest of Foothill during its period of true greatness.
