Welcome to my homepage! I'm a member of the nursing faculty at De Anza. I teach Nursing 81/N & 81L/NL, Fundamentals of Nursing, Nursing 83P & 83PL, Pharmacology III, and Nursing 50, Nursing as a Career (intermittently). Below are brief descriptions of the courses.
Classes:
Nursing 50:
Nursing as a Career is a required course that makes available information about the profession of nursing. It is the course where information about the prerequisites and the application process for the nursing program are made available to the interested learner.
Nursing 81/N & 81L/NL:
Fundamentals of Nursing is a quarter one class that deals with fundamental concepts both in the classroom and clinical setting. Clinicals are held at skilled nursing facilities, and meet twice a week for 8 hours a day.
Nursing 83P & 83PL:
Pharmacology III introduces the learner to the application of pharmacologic concepts to the maternal and child populations. The associated lab focuses on concepts of venipuncture, advanced vascular access, chemotherapy and total parenteral nutrition.
