| Well, I found this website is very useful. The passage teaches students how to read and write. I do agree that reading cannot be done under pressure just like writing. After reading it, i understand there is a way for reading and i'll also follow this way to try. Thanks for posting ^^~

| Hello there! I've been a student at De Anza for about 2 years already. So far I'm liking it hear and having fun at school. My major study right now is A.A.Degree but I bet,that will change next year because I have not decided what to take yet. When I have free time, I usually play sports like basketball, golf, tennis, football and billiards. As you can see I love sports and competion, they bring out the best of me. My spring break was not that bad. I enjoyed pretty much having extra time watching TV and sleeping. I just saw Resident Evil( The Apocalyps) yesterday and I'm telling you it is the best sci-fi/ suspense/action movie that I've seen in my life. I rate it a perfect 10 out of 10. It was the bomb. I work in a surgery center in Palo Alto area. I am the respected Medical Director in the surgery. Just kidding! I'm an Orderly in the Operating Room. I usually help turn over the rooms and assist in positioning the patients. I love my work. I meet professionals, watch operations, see in personal football players and finally free lunch every work day. Let me tell you my secret, the free lunch is the reason why I'm working there. So far that's about it for me. My tank is empty, goodbye.

| The UC Berkeley website is great. It teaches me how to write a good introduction and use some techniques to draw readers' attention. I can also learn how to develop the body paragraph as well as the conclusion through this website. It is very useful and helpful. Thanks!

| When i finish reading the "Reading Process" i found out that reading is not an easy things to do. It takes time to process in order to become a good reader. In order to become a good reader, we need to skim the text first. When we read we need to make notes so that we can focus on what happen with the books. I will follow the ways of the reading guide.

| WHen I finished reading the U.C Berkeley Website, I thought is it very helpful and useful for my writing because there are so much new things in there that i haven't learn yet. In order to become a good writer, i need to follow the steps. I learn how to write a thesis sentens, topic sentences, avoid using words that are repeated, use more transition words, and how to conclude the final paragraph of the essay. The reason i know why I did not do good when writing a body paragraph was i did not give supporting details to support my topic sentences, and example of researches. Thanks!

| I realized this website is very useful and helpful for writting an essay. In order to have a good essay, we need to use transition words and know how to combine sentences using coordinators and subcordinators. The exercises are very helpful because it demonstrates how to use it in the sentences. For the self-quiz i did the some, i score almost perfect. This website is definitely recommended!

| After finish reading these two website:Appositive,Transition in the paragraph, I though it's a really helpful, clearly, and useful website. I learned that in the paragraph you need to have a sentence or sentences that unified around one controlling idea. There are three things to remember in order to write a good paragraph are unified, coherent, and well development. When we write a controlling idea, we need to give explanation and after that a complextion of paragraph or transtion into a next paragraph. Plus, I also did some of the appositive exercises. It helps me now to combine sentence and make it clear and detail. Overall is good to read this before writing an essay.

| I don't really have a favorite toy back then and now but I may consider my spyder Spike as my toy/pet.
Spike, about the size of a nickel and a number 8 mark on his back, is one of my best fighting spyders that I had. What we do back then was we collect spyders and we let them fight against each other on a wire stick, 8 inches long. My spyder Spike was undefeted. He killed 10 spyders and also eaten their corpses. Spike, the champ, was really undisputed champion so for his reward from me, I decided to let him go. I threw him back in the woods and started to look for a new champ.

Same as writting, the first draft is never perfect we need to write at least 3 times to get to a good point. I learned new some new stradegies of reading. | Thanks for posting up the good way to developed a body paragraphs and what it needs to contain. I did some exercises in there, and feel much better and confortable writting my own body paragraphs. This is another way to get more practice because i also can find some similar informations on the Reader Book on developing paragraphs. It can help me on the next essay!

| I think the artical talking about how to be a good reader is really helpful. Actually , i don't like reading so much .So sometimes , when i read, i really fell in some difficulties that the artical has mentioned, like i read too fast, i can't get the meaning, i read in the last minute. Therefore , this artical teaches me how to read can gain more fun, how to read without pressure which is really useful for me .

| My name is Liz and this is my second quarter at DeAnza. Before this I took two years off school and worked. My major is Anthropology. I love being active and plauing sports. I have been playing water polo for the past 10 years and i have a new found love for dirt biking, for the past year and a half. I love oldschool cars and going to car shows. I also love animals, and being outdoors. I work as a nanny and adore the two kids I take care of, ann 11 and 14year old. Well that is about it for me, goodbye.

| The UC Berkeley website for writing is great! It teaches me how to organize an artical , how to write an introduction, conclusion, the body part and so on. Especially the introduction, I always can't write a good introduction to attract the others, in the article ,it suggests me a lot of methods to write a good introduction, like using quotation, question or historical review which are all very useful!
