| My name is YongSung Kim and I came from Korea. The reason why I came to DeAnza college is that DeAnza has many various classes,also there are many international students like me. My major is computer science ,also I like to play with a computer games.I hope to transfer 4 years of university in California.
During my winter break, I went skiing with my friends, so I could enjoy a great time. While I am in EWRT100B class, I really want to improve my English so that I really want to success in this class.

| My name is Lester Galang and this is currently my 1st year here at De Anza College. I graduated from Adrian C. Wilcox High School in Santa Clara last year (Class of 2003). My plans here are to take general education courses (GED) and transfer to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) or the University of California San Diego (UCSD) where I will pursue a career as a pediatrician. My major in this case obviously is in health sciences. I'm 19 years old and will turn 20 on May 20th. I was born in the Philippines and immigrated here at the age of 7. I live with my parents and my 3 siblings (2 brothers and 1 sister) with me being the second oldest of us 4 children. I love going to the theaters and watching movies. My favorite movies are The Last Samurai and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. I'm also quite the music fan. I don't have a particular favorite genre of music. Basically, I love anything that satisfies my ears and something I can get into whether that music is Rock, Pop, Country, Alternative, Some Rap & Hip-Hop, Classical, etc. I'm also a TV lover. I watch shows such as The Simpsons, American Idol, ER, The Three Stooges, WWE Raw (Wrestling), 24, Passions (soap opera), Maximum Extreme Elimination Challenge, and many others. I don't play a lot of sports these days but continue to be quite the sports fanatic. I pay attention to hockey (NHL), basketball (NBA), baseball (MLB) and my favorite of all sports, football (NFL). My favorite football team is the Green Bay Packers. I dream that someday, they'll win the superbowl again! I don't have a lot of hobbies but are willing to try anything when the opportunity comes. Well, that's all I have for y'all so I hope it gives you an idea of who I am and what I'm all about. Take care and peace!

| Hi my name is Lee and this is also my first year hear at De Anza colege.I graduated from westmont highschool in san jose. Im not a typically asian guy cause i dont like to read or write. I usually skateboard with friends when im not at school. I am currently sponsored by mountain dew and Copeland's board shop in valley fair. Im hoping to get out of de anza in 2 years and get into a UC system. well i dont have much to say about me so see you guys at school!

| Like most of the students here, this is my first year I attend to De Anza College. Actually, I live far away from the campus cause it takes me 45 minutes driving to here, but I think De Anza is a good choice for community college. They have the high percentage of transfer students which I think I really can learn something from here. My major is Fashion Design, or any positions in the design area. I love art a lot, I like the way art can be so creative and flexible, since I am not an organized person, creating art is the best job for me in the future. Once in the writing lab class, the teacher asked me do any of us like to write. I said, “Yeah, I probably like to write.” It’s because I think writing is also a way to express a person. But I can’t really write very well, because most of time, I would like to read more than write. Therefore, in the class, I expect to learn more strategy how to write and improve myself. It’s also a good class to prepare before I get into English 1A. Talking about more stuff personally, I am a Chinese girl who came from Guangzhou, China. I can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin. Cause I live in a single family, friends are the important part of my life, mum always finds out that my friends understand me more than she does. That wasn’t a surprise.:P So, I will like to make friends with anyone in the class, while you get to know me, I also want to know more about you guys. ^^

| hi my name is jesus ramos nad this is my first year at de anza.im just taking general ed classes and some criminal justice classes. unlike most people here in california, i was born in bronx, new york. moving to the west coast was a big change in my life.i consider myself a "mexicano boricua" in other words my parents are of puerto rican mexican descent.i like playing soccer and football. my hobbies are Djing, dancing and working. i work as a supervisor at PUMA retail store at the gilroy outlets.thas me.

| My name is Amanuel Esayas. I was originally born in South Africa but I am half Ethoipain and Jamaiacan. I came here from Rome about 6-7 years ago. I am getting my GE from De Anza to transfer to San Jose State. I am planning on studying Economics. In my spare time, I play and watch football(soccer). My winter break wasn't bad. I got to go and see some family members in Munich and spend the New Year with here in the states with my mother. The last movie I saw was Team America. I don't work.
