The very interesting reading poses more questions than answers for me. What do all of these diverse and sometimes contradictory views of life mean? I have and am still under the belief that the answer- or lack thereof- to what we are, or more importantly, how we came about, dictates where we go. Here are a couple of links i thought to be interesting as well.

what i'd really like is your thoughts on the wikipedia article on biogenesis at the link above. The last line says '...anything divine cannot be "proven" since it cannot be tested or queried'.

could this be an example of an appeal to ignorance?
