BUSINESS 81/MATERIAL 81 PRODUCTION CONTROL MR. GROVE

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Principles and methods of Production Planning and Production Control in the high technology environment. The course discusses the relationship between inventory and good planning and control in the factory. Review the historical methods of planning and control and the modern theories and their application and results.

REQUIRED TEXT: ARNOLD, J.R. TONY; CHAPMAN, STEVEN N. Introduction to Materials Management, Fourth Edition New Jersey, Prentice Hall, 2001.

EXPECTED OUTCOME: Satisfactory completion will provide the student with familiarity with various manufacturing systems along with methods for their planning and control.

12. 12/9 Final Exam is scheduled for 6:15 to 8:15 in our present classroom.

METHODS OF EVALUATING THE OUTCOME: A combination of homework, student participation in classroom discussions and the result of one midterm and one comprehensive final examination on course material.

OFFICE HOURS: As a general rule, I will be in class approximately 15 minutes before class begins and will stay after regular class to answer questions.
