MATERIAL 50B PURCHASING MANAGEMENT MR. GROVE
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will provide the student with an overview of the Materials Management aspect of purchasing including e-commerce and international sourcing. The satisfactory completion of the course should provide students with the initial knowledge required to effectively perform more advanced functions of Purchasing.

EXPECTED OUTCOME: The student will develop an understanding of the tasks which overlay the buying process, including the areas of value analysis, quality, traffic, storage and use of material, and disposition of excess inventory.
METHODS OF EVALUATING THE OUTCOME: A combination of homework, student participation in classroom discussion, and the result of one midterm and one comprehensive final examination on course material.
