Info

I was born, raised, educated, and worked for a while in Romania. In July 1996 I came to US. At that time I thought it was going to be a nice summer vacation. It's a long story. To make it short, I'm still here, working at De Anza College since September 1996.

All you need to know is that I really love to teach and I hope you can tell that during this class. Like the majority of students at De Anza College, I do have an accent and I hope that if this is going to affect your learning it is only going to do it in a positive way. How? Well, you'll have to pay attention to what I have to say, and this is a good thing to do during class.

Remember, there is no such thing as a dumb question: you want to understand before you get lost. In addition, please be assured that I'm ready to assist you in any way possible as you meet the challenges ahead. There are lab assistants and instructors available in the CIS laboratory. Also, the Tutorial Center has tutors who can help you with your homework:

In order to be successful in this class you will have to make a commitment to
  • Studying,
  • Reading the text,
  • Doing your homework,
  • Writing your lab assignments, and
  • Attending class.

Come to class on time, prepared, ready to learn and participate!

You may find that it is tough for you to understand some things and that you have to work very hard to learn, but you will feel a great sense of accomplishment as your program works and you understand why!
