Multiple Intelligences Project

Clearly, this assignment has two parts. The first is the group assignment. You will be divided into groups based on the results of your Multiple Intelligences Worksheet

You will have some time (give or take a week) to then (as a group) take a major developmental theory or a portion of a chapter or really you and your group find interesting, and teach it to the rest of the class using the intelligence style that you have been assigned along with the rest of your group.

Start looking for things to teach the class that will match your intelligence style. Bring these ideas to your group.

Please write up the experience using either the experimental method, or through an essay that provides theoretical back up. Both papers should have theory included. Please use proper APA format

The paper itself will require that you discuss the idea of intelligence in general and multiple intelligences in particular. There are a several theories about intelligence. Write about one in detail or several as an overall argument. Specifically speak to, at some point in the paper, the intelligence you addressed with your group, and describe material from a another one of your classes. Can it be better taught using your intelligence type? if so, explain how.

If you are using the experimental method: All sections should be included. These are: Hypothesis, Procedure/experiment, Data, Results, Conclusion. Clearly in this case, the result is the presentation, the experiment how you got put into the group you did and so on. Explain the theory, the literature, the procedure, how you got placed into the group and what happened after that.

If you are writing an essay then begin with the main theory you are addressing, in this case, Gardner. Explain it *briefly* enough that I know that you understood it. Don't over explain. Then go onto other intelligences

Both types of papers should include: a section on intelligence in general. A section explaining the idea of multiple intelligences. A section on what you chose to teach and the style or intelligence that you and your group used to do so.

Include in your paper 1) your Worksheet 2) a Social Loafing Scale for each member of your group 3) the paper itself

Don't forget to reference all theory and include a reference page. This paper is worth 25 points and is due on the 25th of October
