My Vision
The goal of this paper is to describe an organization (non-profit or otherwise) that you would be interested in founding at some point in your life. This organization should be directed towards social change. Hopefully, this will lay the groundwork for what you might like to do in the future. Use sections to respond to the following parts of a “plan.” As always, 12 pt font, double space, clean paper only, no Times New Roman. This paper to be done well should run in the 5- 6 page range. I am not looking for a solid plan, just the overall bones that would be feasible in creating an organization around social change. If however, you decide that you really want to flesh it out, go for it. Due June 20th
The background:
What is in your biography that creates the passion to change the world? (at least /12 page to 1 page)
The vision:
What is the change you wish to see in the world. Describe it and why you think it is necessary.
What is the ultimate dream for this non-profit or organization?
Explain it:
What is the argument you need to make to create this change?
What sorts of research would or could you use to help this argument?
How would you go about using legislation to help you in this dream? What needs to be changed to create new law?
Sell it:
How would you brand it?
Who are your partners? (and by this I do not just mean individuals, but organizations too)
What sorts of fund-raising would be real in relation to this?
Business plan:
What would you need to start it? How much?
What kinds of grants would be ideal to help you begin?
What sort of governing body would you create?
Is it for profit or not for profit?
Finally, what is the long-term goal and when would you let go of it and move on?
