Yosemite Winter Club

This webpage is to tell students about a way to save money on skiing/snowboarding during the annual De Anza College Outdoor Club winter trip to Yosemite.

At http://www.yosemitepark.com/BadgerPass_RentalPricing.aspx you will see that Lift tickets for 2011-12 weekends will be (as of the website in December 2011):

Adult (over 17) all day $42, half day $32.50

Senior (65 and older) all day $37, half day $30

If you act well before the trip you can join the Yosemite Winter Club and save money. (The membership form is submitted by mail and it can take awhile to get your membership application processed.)

The Yosemite Winter Club (which has nothing to do with De Anza clubs) is made up mostly of Yosemite residents, but we were told it is open to anyone.

The Yosemite Winter Club supports winter sports for youth. A $15 membership and a $20 'benefit card' gets you (from their website in December 2011) :

One free unrestricted day of skiing at Badger Pass

Unlimited free ice skating sessions at Curry Village

50% off lift tickets, rentals, and group lessons

(Black Out Dates: I did not find them for 2011-12, look at their website )

Please note that extreme weather could close the Badger Pass ski resort and/or the ice rink and you would not be able to use the benefits unless you came back to the park.

Snow Camp is the main page about our winter camping trip.
