Spring 2013

Welcome to my Homepage. I am a Mathematics instructor at De Anza College. I graduated from Cupertino High School, went to U.C.L.A. and then back east for graduate work at the University of Maryland in College Park. Before teaching I worked in industry in such fields as Genetics, Electrical Engineering and Defense Systems. I am interested in how math is used in the real world and therefore seek to stress relevancy when I teach. New this year I have enrolled in graduate courses that required research on the latest neuroscience findings in terms of how the brain learns math. Coupled with study skills particular to math I hope you will have greater success than ever before and enjoy math applied to relevant issues in your life. I look forward to meeting you on campus or on-line.
