English 97Shakespeare in Performance
Each summer De Anza College sponsors a trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. It's a fun excursion for those who love live theatre, cheerful company, and stimulating discussion. The total cost for the trip is approximately $600. This year our trip is scheduled for the weekend of June 27-29 and includes the following:
- bus transportation there and back again
- a double room in the Southern Oregon University dorms
- breakfast and dinner in the Cascade Cafeteria
- member-quality tickets to four plays
- four pre-trip class sessions and two morning-after play discussions
- a guided backstage tour
- an "actor's talk" with a leading member of the OSF company
We have reserved tickets for the following plays:
Friday, June 27: Our Town, 8:30 pm
Saturday, June 28: Fences, 2:00 pm
Saturday, June 28: Coriolanus, 8:30 pm
Sunday, June 29: A Midsummer Night's Dream, 2:00 pm
